Celebrating 25 Years of Service
Brian Farragher, LMSW, MBA is the Chief Operating Officer at ANDRUS and has been with the organization for 25 years. He will be a regular on this blog commenting on working in the field of human services and children’s issues.
This week marks a major milestone. Nancy Ment, our President and CEO, will celebrate 25 years of service to ANDRUS on Saturday, May 26th. We could not let the week pass without acknowledging the occasion.
I have had the good fortune to work with Nancy for all of these 25 years. We have been through some very good times together, along with a handful of very trying times as well. I have been beyond lucky to have a supervisor and a friend like Nancy. She cares deeply about our important mission and has worked hard to ensure that we do our work each day with a sense of purpose and integrity. Under her leadership the organization has grown in size and complexity, but she continues to pay attention to and cultivate the qualities that separate Andrus from other non-profits. She takes great pride in everyone who works here and the amazing work that you do each day.
So, this is a big week here at Andrus, even though it may pass quietly. Twenty-five years ago Nancy Ment joined the team and her decision to do so certainly has made Andrus a much better place and has made a positive difference in the lives of many children, families and staff. That’s a pretty good run and an impact that would make anyone proud. I have been proud and fortunate to have a front row seat through it all.
Please join me in congratulating Nancy and thanking her for her amazing service.
